Lead Paper Presenter at the 2020 APAS International Conference on Human Security and Peace-Building
We write to introduce to you the Lead Paper Presenter at the 2020 International Conference of the Association for the Promotion of African Studies (APAS) convened by Professor Ikechukwu Anthony Kanu, President of APAS held on 11th June with the theme: “African Ideologies, Human Security and Peace-Building” in the person of Professor Maduabuchi Dukor.
Professor Maduabuchi Dukor holds B.A. (Ibadan), M. Phil, (UNILAG), Ph.D, Philosophy, (UNN), and PGD (Journalism). He is the current Head, Department of Philosophy, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. He is the Founding HOD, Philosophy Department LASU; Former, Director/Chairman of the Board, Pre-Science Program Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka; Visiting member, Editorial Board, Guardian Newspapers, Lagos 2016-2019 and Visiting member, Editorial Board, Champion Newspapers (1999-2000). As a scholar of international repute, he was a Visiting Scholar, Department of Philosophy, University of Ghana (2000-2002), Ajunct Professor of Philosophy; Joseph Ayo Babalola University (2010-2015), Anambra State University (2015), and Delta State University (2015).
He has authored numerous works, namely, 6 books including: Symbolic and Philosophical Logic( 2018, London); Theistic Humanism of African Philosophy; African Freedom; Scientific Paradigm in African Philosophy and African Philosophy in the Global village(2010,Germany); edited books of Readings including Philosophy and Politics (2004, Malthouse, Lagos); 39 chapters in Anthologies (1 in Kenya); 78 Journal Articles (36 Articles Published Internationally in Britain, U.S. Africa, Greece, Austria and India), 1 conference proceeding and 29 Poems.
Prof. Dukor Edited 15 Issues of ESSENCE: Interdisciplinary-International Journal of Philosophy; Edited 10 Issues of Nnamdi Azikiwe Journal of Philosophy; Supervised and examined over 20 PhDs; External Examiner and Assessor to 14 Universities including the University of South Africa; Examined 54 PhDs in other Universities including University of South Africa; Professorial Assessor to 11 Academics in Nigerian Universities; Member, National Universities Commission Accreditation panels to 13 Institutions; Member, Editorial Board/Review Editorship to over 10 International Academic Journals; Member, 7 Learned Societies including Aristotelian Society of Great Britain and Indian Philosophical Quarterly, Delhi University, India.
